The rain reminds me of things being renewed
When some think of times when they felt blue
I look at you in the grayish light of day
Holding your problems and thoughts at bay
Wanting your other to give you a hug
Looking his way your expression stays smug
Never letting him know the way you feel
You stand in one spot like a cold bar of steal
Rain can be happy if we let it all in
Look at it renewing so start with a grin
